alizskjngdftrolks asked: I know you're gonna shit on my basketball knowledge. My knowledge on Jeremy Lin is limited to articles and few games with bets against step my dad that Asian people can play basketball LOL.
Your knowledge is ehh, but you’re not an avid fan so I’ll let it slide :)
25 points on 10/19 FG, 5/7 FT, 5 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 steals, and ONE TURNOVER!
First off, to answer your question, you obviously have to know how to play basketball in order to be in the NBA, regardless of what race, religion, creed, etc. you are. This could be a one night thing, or it could be the start of a breakout season for him. But tonight, everything was lined up for him and it went his way. He was always more comfortable going down the lane than taking the jumper, but he has the PG’s “pass first” mentality that the Knicks needed reallllllll bad. He’s definitely fits the PG mold more than Shumpert or Douglas. If you have a decent point man running the floor, guys like A’mare and Chandler are gonna flourish off the pick & roll and pick & pop. And then you have his defense, which he isn’t that well known for. He guarded Deron Williams, a top 5 point guard in the league. Lin held him scoreless the whole second quarter and forced him to make tough shots and bad decisions. For a guy coming off the bench, that is high praise. So I can’t say for sure since this is a one night sampler, but hopefully it’s a sign of good things to come.
PS: I should quit college and become an NBA analyst.
